Dear Jimi,

I am writing to give you an update on the progress of our latest intern, Darren Sundt. As you know, Darren was an intern with my company last year. Like most people who are new to the business, he had a lot to learn and had never really been on a set or in an editing studio. Fortunately, Darren was able to learn quickly and is now a paid member of our location production crew. In addition, he is an excellent assistant video editor, having learned Media 100 and Final Cut Pro editing systems. Darren has proven himself to be a valuable member of our company and is on the crew list with four other local production companies. Again, it was a pleasure to have Darren here as an intern and even more so as a paid member of our production staff. I look forward to the placement of another intern and working with you soon.
