Do you dream of being on a film set with the camera pointed at you? Or yearn to find yourself on the soundstage of a major studio acting in a live taping of a hit sitcom? Or hope to perform on one of our nation’s leading stages? “Making it” as a working actor isn’t just about being at the right place at the right time. When opportunity knocks, you’re either prepared to seize it or to blow it. What are you preparing yourself to do?
Weekend Acting Workshops Are Coming To A Town Near You!
Through
our affiliation with Joe Anthony Studios of Hollywood,
California, the Film Connection offers the most no-nonsense,
comprehensive, private acting training on the market today. In a
competitive
industry that is notoriously unforgiving to the unprepared, how an
actor trains and the mentality he/she develops as a result are often
the difference between those who work and those who don’t. No other
program combines both a truly rigorous craft of acting program with
one-on-one, result-oriented career-coaching sessions. Through samll
group workshops, guidance on both creative and business fronts,
students develop skills that can lead them to a lifetime of artistic
self-sufficiency and freedom, while also learning to generate
opportunities rather than waiting for the phone to ring. CALL 800.755.7597 And Find Out When Our Acting Workshop Will Be In

Joe
Anthony’s practical approach to acting involves strengthening the
three specific muscles an actor needs to be truthful and authentic:• Imagination…
the ability to make
fictional circumstances real and
personally affecting through the use of images.
• Empathy… the essential ability to be sensitive and vulnerable to circumstances.
• Concentration… the ability to focus on the circumstances of a script (instead of the circumstances of the casting office or set).
• Empathy… the essential ability to be sensitive and vulnerable to circumstances.
• Concentration… the ability to focus on the circumstances of a script (instead of the circumstances of the casting office or set).
From the moment the opportunity to play a part appears through the final day of shooting, Joe’s students learn to imaginatively create the world of the story in a way that truly resonates for them as an individual. This allows them to go into any professional situation (a casting office, in rehearsal, on the set) with a sense of play and wonder instead of dread or fear. In this state of mind they are free and able to live authentically and express truthfully from “action to cut.”
